Pricing Policy

This page explains exactly what you pay and when. Nothing on Astrovya is charged without a balance in your wallet first.

1. Currency

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR, ₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise on the payment page.

2. Consultation rates

• Each astrologer sets their own per-minute rate.
• The rate is shown on the astrologer's card and profile before you start, and again in the chat header while you are consulting.
• An astrologer may change their rate. The rate that applies to your consultation is the one fixed at the moment the chat starts; it cannot change mid-chat.

3. How billing works

• Consultations are prepaid from your wallet. There is no invoice and no credit.
• You must be able to afford a minimum number of minutes before you can raise a chat request. That minimum is shown on the astrologer's profile.
• Minute 1 is charged when the astrologer joins, not when you send the request.
• Each subsequent minute is charged as it begins.
• A minute already in progress when the chat ends is not charged. If you end a chat at 4 minutes 20 seconds, you pay for 4 minutes.
• When your balance can no longer fund the next minute, the chat ends automatically. You are never billed into a negative balance.
• Nothing is charged while a request is pending, or if it is declined, cancelled or expires.

4. Worked example

An astrologer charges ₹25/min. You have ₹1,000. They accept at 10:00:00, and ₹25 is charged immediately, leaving ₹975. At 10:01:00 another ₹25 is charged, leaving ₹950. You end the chat at 10:01:40. The partial third minute is not charged. Total: ₹50 for 2 minutes.

5. Wallet top-ups

• Minimum top-up: ₹100.
• Maximum top-up in a single transaction: ₹50,000.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway over a secure connection. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
• Your balance does not expire while your account is active.

6. Your records

Every top-up and every per-minute charge is written to your transaction history with the balance after it, so the ledger always reconciles with the balance shown. Payment attempts, including failed ones, appear in your payment history with their order ID.

7. Astrologer earnings

Astrologers receive a share of each minute billed and the Platform retains the remainder as its service fee. The split is agreed with each astrologer when they join and is visible to them in their earnings dashboard.

9. Changes

We may change platform-level pricing rules. Changes are published on this page with a new "last updated" date and never apply retrospectively to a consultation already held.
